Day 1: Painted Turtle

 

I've been ignoring this little blog for 3 years but I'm going to try again.

My painting has been on and off over the last few years and I really want to try and establish a habit. 

Sometimes I'm not sure how much I actually enjoy painting, so this is my 100 day experiment to try and figure it out.

I figure at the end of 100 days of daily painting I'll either love it or hate it -- and hopefully I'll have improved a little by then, as well.

I painted this turtle after following a tutorial from the book 30-Minute Watercolor Animals by Kiley Busko.

I've painted a few animals from it already. I quite like her book as it's super approachable.
